A Flatbed That Goes Up to Eleven

Okay, I admit it. I like technology and big, shiny stuff. It bugs me that Willie Nelson still uses the guitar he’s worn a hole in. And rock concerts are better if the amps are stacked three high instead of two. Drum kits sound better if they have dozens of things to strike. One of my guilty pleasure videos (don’t go there) is Slade’s “My, Oh My” (I believe in woman?) where the band rolls through the countryside on a stage on a flatbed semi. Now we’re talkin’.

Okay, but seriously, even if you have a low-end keyboard with 120 tones and 50 rhythms, I think it’s sometimes easy to get lost in the options and the novelty of what all the instrument can do. Sometimes, you just have to block out all the fancy stuff and find your voice in a familiar sound. Do yourself a favor and check out Sinclair Sound.

P.S. I hope you caught the title’s reference to Spinal Tap. If not, you need to stop by regularly. We’ve got some learnin’ to do.
